JUICING DAY 6

My clothes fit more loosely, my skin is radiant, my eyes are clearer and brighter, and one more day to go. I have loved this journey. I saw again this morning how I’ve used food to entertain, give comfort, reward myself, and probably more. What is foods real purpose? Is it to simply keep the body energized so it  functions well? I’ll ponder this as I continue the Juice Cleanse. In the first juice this morning I used Brussel sprouts to give the taste and nutrients of cabbage. Also notice the first juice uses Broccolini. It tasted great.  Enjoy.

GREEN WITH HABANERO SAUCE

1/2 bunch broccolini
1/2 English cucumber
3 stalks celery
1/2 bunch collard greens
4 Granny Smith apples
1/2 lemon, cut off tough top of peeling
10 drops of Habanero pepper sauce

DSC01893Brussel sprouts help lower cholesterol and are a great anti-cancer food. Broccolini brightens eyes, is high in Vitamin A  for great skin, and has lots of minerals including iron.

TURNIP, DAIKON AND GREENS

4 inch piece of daikon radish
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch dandelion greens
3 red chard leaves
1/2 medium beet
1/2 fennel bulb
1/2 English cucumber
2 celery stalks
1/2 lemon, cut off tough top of peel
2 inch piece ginger

Turnip detoxifies the body and helps build the blood. It also helps disperse lung congestion. Isn’t it wonderful all the magic that each food contains to support our bodies? Such support for each and every one of us.
