Cleanse–Week Two

So, we’re in the second week of the all raw cleanse including 2 very green smoothies a day (a full pound of greens total) and a large cruciferous vegetable salad with a whole avocado. It’s been easy to stay with and am feeling strong energy. Haven’t had much, if any detox, and notice my clothes are looser.

Here’s a video of how we make one of our versions of the big salad that is usually lunch. It is a great salad.

Last week’s blog explained how to make the smoothies. And in addition to the salad we shared, we’re drinking lots of purified water to flush out toxins. This cleanse encourages a gallon of water each day. You can also count the water in your smoothies as part of that gallon.

Cruciferous Salad (Serves 2)

Cruciferous Salad

1/4 red cabbage, grated or cut fine
1/4 green cabbage, grated or cut fine
4 carrots, cut in thin round
4 radishes, sliced
1 cucumber, cut in quarter cubes
1/4 small cauliflower, cut in small pieces
2 tomatoes, cubed
1/2 red onion, cut in half moons
1 Jalapeño, seeded and veins removed, diced
2 avocados, cubed
Nutritional yeast
1 large lemon, juice
Ground black pepper

In a large open bowl add the cabbage and then all other ingredients. Sprinkle with lots of nutritional yeast, lemon juice and ground black pepper.
