STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART

Hello Dear Friends,

It is wonderful living in California in a small town right on the ocean. The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh and clean and there is a vegetable stand, open 24 hours daily with locally grown produce. It is so delightful to walk there, buy beets, kabocha squash, cabbage, kale, collards, fava bean greens, cilantro, parsley and locally grown lettuce. Yippee!IMG_0435

And the most heart touching moment is when you pay for your vegetables. Everyone writes what they purchase on a notepad and puts money into a box. It is all on the honour system. Can you believe it? I’m so touched by their trust and desire to serve.

I am amazed at the taste of the vegetables. They are full of flavours and nutrients I haven’t tasted, even from our own home grown veggies. My guess is that this particular climate creates hardiness that amps up the nutrients. So yummy.

It is wonderful to eat dark leafy greens freshly picked the same day. The greens are available 24-7, every day of the year, grown a few blocks away. I’m feeling very blessed.

So I hope you enjoyed the photos of this wonderful 24 hour vegetable stand on the honour system. They deserve to be acknowledged far and wide for their efforts. It is like having people plant, weed, harvest and wash the produce you grew. Just the best.

Thank you, “Farm Stand.” You offer us the very highest quality produce straight from the heart.

To your amazing health,

Connie

      • Well I’m very happy for the both of you!

Right now I’m trying to find a location. I have been working with realtors and leasing companies to find something. I going to a kitchen auction on Tuesday to have a look. Also I’ve been told if I want to use a gas stove it’s $30,000 to vent them……so electric it is. I’m learning lots in the process and learning the art of patients! I don’t know if I’ve told you our name….”Freakin Healthy”. And your business?
