Eating And Its Purpose?

Recently I’ve been asking what is the purpose of eating, really? And I thought it would be fun and very informative to open this up as a dialogue with everyone. What do you see is the purpose of eating? Let’s talk about it.

An easy way to share together is for you to ask the question, “What is the purpose of eating?” And then let the question go. No trying, no thinking about it, simply relax, go about your life, and see what clarity comes.

Then when a clear answer is available, share it with all of us. Simply scroll to the bottom of this page and click the box “Leave a Reply, Enter your comment here.” Let’s enjoy learning from one another.

For me, eating is for energy and magnificent health. Energy and health allow me to share my talents with others, supporting and serving them to have great health. And when I ask before I eat something, “Will this food give me energy and magnificent health,” it’s amazing what answers come and what I discover. Often I don’t choose foods that I thought I would. And it’s so fun and worthwhile to learn from my inner wisdom about how to eat and live this life.

So please join me and ask the question of yourself and share with all of us. I’m excited to hear from you! Also enjoy the pasta recipe below. This is so yummy, energy and health giving.

To You Amazing Health Effortlessly,

Connie

Healthy Pasta Recipe

6 Roma tomatoes, large dice
1 Red pepper, diced in triangles
2 Jalapeno peppers, small dice
8 Shiitake mushrooms, sliced (discard stems)
1/2 cup parsley, minced
1 large onion, diced small
4 to 5 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
1 heaping tablespoon coconut oil or safflower oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (for pasta sauce)
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 package (12 to 14 ounces) brown rice linguini or spaghetti
1 teaspoon sea salt (add to pasta during cooking)
1 tablespoon olive oil (drizzle over pasta before serving)

Sauce: Combine onion, garlic, mushrooms, sea salt and oil into a large skillet. Cook on medium heat covered. Add peppers, tomato, and black pepper and turn heat to low. Stir well, cover and let simmer until all the vegetables are soft. Add parsley and cover until serving.

Pasta: In another large pot bring 4 liters of water with sea salt to a boil. Add pasta and cook as directed on package. When soft, drain and dress with olive oil. Now dish pasta on plates and ladel pasta sauce over top. Delicious.

  1. I eat because I”m hungry,… and I love good tasting food,… I only buy food that is “good” for my body at the grocery shops. Wanna live a life full of energy,… 🙂 Christine from jolly ole Canada 🙂

    • Dear Christine,
I love your beautiful energy that you warmly share with everyone.
Eating for hunger is a great thing.I know some say seldom do we eat from hunger, and that hunger. Buying good food with lots of nutrients is, as you know, the way to keep high energy levels.
Beautiful. Thank you so much for your share.
      Hugs,
      Connie

  2. Dear Connie,

Food provides nutrients to sustain life. I like to think that eating goes beyond keeping us functional. I particularly enjoy sharing meals with friends that have been prepared with care and love. I love slow cooking with fresh ingredients. I have bread rising in the kitchen at the moment and look forward to the fresh loaves later this morning.

    Regards,

    Joan

    • Dear Joan,
Thank you for your focus on nutrients and cooking with fresh ingredients. Are you familiar with the High Nutrient Dense scale? You can enjoy it in Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s book, Eat to Live. Or check it out on his web: https://www.drfuhrman.com/library/article17.aspx
It is wonderful you are baking bread. Have you ever made a rye sourdough? Sourdough is encouraged by Macrobiotics as a very healthy bread.
      Delightful to hear from you,
      Connie
